Bike Build Project

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2012

Proposal: Build a bike I’ve wanted for the last 2 years and build a resume to show what I can do, have done and want to do to take to bike shops and get a job.

Specific Outcomes:

  • expected this project to take me 100+ hours.
  • In the end I expected to have a great bike and a job at a bike shop.
  • I was thinking that I would have this done by August 30th.
  • Write a resume.
  • Make a dynamic resume.

How were the outcomes met?

What resources were used?

What was the highlight of this Special Project?

  • Getting to ride my bike when I was finished
  • Maybe get a job

Demo 7 Build Video

Friday, October 5th, 2012

The whole time that I was building my bike I was recording it. I sped up and edited it down from 5 1/2 hours to 2 1/2 minutes. This video is going to be part of a bigger and more descriptive post later on so keep an eye out for it. I went ahead and narrated this video so you would know what I am doing. Enjoy.

Summer Biking

Wednesday, August 1st, 2012

This summer we have been biking a lot. We were at Silver Star mountain for 3 weeks and then bike camp in the crows nest pass for a week. We still have Whistler and the North Shore to go. Silver star was a lot of fun, the first few days were really wet and slippery but that only lasted for a week. Four days into our biking I went into a bike camp with Thomas Vanderham, Kenny Smith and Matt Hunter. It was great, It went on for 5 days and I learned a lot. Levi couldn’t go because he had broken his coller bone a couple of weeks back. After the camp I went back to biking with dad. By that time Levi was ok to bike so we had a great time for the next two weeks. Sadly we had to leave Silver Star but we went on to our next destination, THE CROWS NEST PASS. We had a great time there, we played games, went on long hard bike rides played music went to Fernie and lots of other fun things. Sadly Levi re-broke his coller bone so our Whistler trip will be delayed till September.
