The Auction

Today Dad and I went to a vehicle auction at Salvage Salvage to look for a truck to buy for our summer vacation. They put out a catalog with all the vehicles with all their information and a number so you can get a look and see if there is anything interesting. There were two trucks we were interested in: the Nissan Tittan and the Ford F-150 XLT Eco-boost. We previewed a lot of vehicles to find out which one would be best for us. They have a big lot with all the vehicles and it is open during the day to wander through and look. Salvage Salvage keeps the keys so you can’t start the vehicles but you can look inside. The auction was held in two big rooms with wooden bleachers on one wall and a few nice vehicles inside. They had TVs in the room so you could see what you were bidding on. The auctioneer had a little room in the corner that was raised up so he could see people bidding.  The auction went all day and the two trucks that we wanted to bid on were near the end but we went for the whole day. We are going to start to buy and sell cars from auctions to make some money so we stayed for almost everything just to get an idea of how it works and how much people are willing to pay for vehicles. My uncle Darrell has been buying, fixing up and selling vehicles for a long time so he gave us a lot of advice. In the end we didn’t get anything because the bidding went too high. The Nissan went for $ 7.110 and the Ford went for $25.500. Salvage Salvage has a auction every two weeks so we might be able to find something soon. Hopefully, after doing this for a while I will have made enough money to buy and fix up a vehicle of my own.
