Skiing

Last night we went to Sun Ridge Ski Hill. It is on the river valley and small, but it is only 12 minutes away. At first I tried snowboarding and that was ok but harder than I expected. I changed to skis after a few minutes and then it got fun. I have skied a bit before so it only took me one run to get the hang of it and then it just got more and more fun, until they closed the hill down. We are planing on going again in a day or two and I can’t wait to get back on the hill.

Chippy!!!!

Over the last few days we have had a chipmunk come into our condo eating peanuts that we give him. Last year he came every morning but then we didn’t see him for the rest of the day and now he comes all the time so we took a video of him one day.

haha and now he is in here looking for food haha :)

Some Cool Pics From Winter Park Colorado

I took some pictures of a few things over the last week and I’m going to put them up for you to see.

A old log that fell in the stream

This is just cool

This is a really weird tree :/

On the first day, 2nd run, I wiped out and messed up my fork and we had to get a new one so I could continue biking. This is what $1,600 will get you, but we only had to pay $1,000 :)

I wiped out yesterday and broke my crank so we had to replace it too. We went to Totally Wired Bike Shop and they were busy so we bought the part and used their tools and replace it ourselves.

We have to locked up our bikes in a ski locker room because we don't have anywhere else to put them.

Our Home In Abilene – 7825 Saddle Creek Rd.

Our home in Abilene Texas was larger than average home in Abilene but was one of the smallest homes in the exclusive subdivision of Saddle Creek Estates. The air conditioned ranch style house included 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, a den/office, dining room, large living room with 10 foot ceilings, large kitchen, kitchen nook/dining area, laundry room and a pantry/storage room. In addition to a huge 3 car garage the property included a 20 X 30 insulated and air conditioned workshop that had a 15 X 30 overhang/carport. The acre and a half yard was fenced, fully landscaped, had underground sprinklers and a huge drive that could park more than 6 vehicles. The boys plan for the huge fenced back yard was to build a dirt jump park but this was cut short by our move back to Canada.

The following pictures are quite good but don’t fully capture the essence of this home:

Tornado? Uh, oh….

We had a great time while Grandma and Grandpa were here. It was so nice to see them again and it brings back memories talking to them about Canada. But something else interesting happened. There was a tornado. It never hit Abilene. But we didn’t know that when the tornado warnings were going crazy on the TV. Here is a new tramp bike video. I will add a tornado video once I edit one.

King of da House!

Mom and Dad went somewhere on a picture taking trip and we stayed home for two days by ourselves. They left around 6:00 Friday night and weren’t back until around 5:30 on Sunday. We spent Saturday with some friends of ours and got a ride to Church on Sunday. It wasn’t that bad because we really weren’t home that much, only at night. While I was a friend’s house, we insulted and annoyed people on Black Ops in a British accent. It was really funny and my throat hurt that night. Haha. It was fun, and now they’re home, so it’s not fun anymore. :(

Preston’s Visit Part 1

Preston came to visit for a week in March. He usually comes for 2 or 3 days, but he was here for a week so we did a lot more stuff than we usually do. We made a game that we haven’t named yet. You build a Lego car and smash them with your opponent’s car. I had the winning car for 6 days, but on the last day Levi made a big block with wheels. After that I didn’t even try to build a other one.
