Lego Gun

Yesterday I saw a website on real size guns out of Lego. The only problem is you have to buy the instructions for $7.00 but they did have pictures of them so I tried to copy one of the guns.

Here’s a few pictures.

This is the gun with a lazer and a silencer.

this is it by itselfSoon I will be making a cardboard sniper rifle.

40 Days and 40 Nights

I can understand how God could flood the earth, if it was all done by Texas rain. It started raining last night, not too hard, but for the last three hours…well, you have to experience it. I had a meeting at ACU but had to turn around and come home cause the driving entrances to the campus were all flooded and running like a river. My little puddle jumper only jumps puddles, not lakes :) It’s still warm, but it’s suppose to get colder tonight, so tomorrow may be a nightmare. It’s great that Dwayne only has to drive 5 minutes to work and the airport is only 10 minutes away. Oh, and the thunder and lightening constant. Fortunately, no hail! yet….

Two Gifts From Canada

Two special delivery packages are coming down from Edmonton for Caleb’s birthday on Feb. 10th. Baba and Auntie Karen are braving the long air trip down to visit next week for a week. We are so happy to be able to show them around our life in Abilene.

We hope they have a very pleasant flight, though the day will be long and I really pray that the crazy Texas weather doesn’t bring them snow while they’re here. That would just be like Murphy, wouldn’t it? :) God-speed, family.

Leaving on a Jet Plane

Yup, it’s my first weekend away. It’s both Vegas and Elna in one weekend. How do you think that will end? Shall I end up with a stripe of red or blue hair, a lighter wallet, or a iphone full of pictures that I can not share? All of the above? Na, all you who know Elna know it will be a calm and relaxing weekend. ;)

It’s will be a short but very sweet time and I so appreciate the opportunity to spend time with one of the many people God has poured into my life as a gift. Ya’ll know I don’t gamble, and my closet is full so I don’t need to buy anything, so suspect only much laughter, some tears (I’ll have to say goodbye), some gossip (find out how all the loved ones in Lethbridge are faring), some encouragement (or butt kicking, depending how you take it) and much coffee/tea. Woohoo! What more can I say.

Austin part 2

Day 3 in Austin. We went to a museum and it was all about Texas. Texas, Texas, Texas: there is so many things  to learn about Texas, too much even.  WOW, my mind is filled with things about TEXAS. Oh well, it is cool stuff. We went to a Imax movie about heros of Texas and Wild Texas weather. It was really interesting and so was the rest of the building. Here’s a few pictures. We went home after that and then went in the outdoor pool      Yes I said the pool  WE WENT SWIMMING IN A OUTDOOR POOL IN JANUARY HAHA it was fun. The next day we went home and continued with are life in Abilene.

Austin

I was suppose to  write one thing about Austin and do a blog on it but I couldn’t think of the right one so I am just going to tell you all of them, but a short version.

We arrived in Austin at about 3:30 and dad earlier  found a bike that he wanted to get on the internet. We found the place and we bought it.  Here’s a picture

Specialized P2

After that we found the hotel (well we didn’t have to find it because it was a 28 story 4 star Hilton). Once we got there we unpacked and mom and dad went to get supper.

The next day dad had to go to a conference so we went biking. It wasn’t a good idea because it rained a day or 2 ago so it was muddy. We tried it anyway but we got our bikes muddy and we had to wash them off somehow. We went to a stream near by and washed them off there. Here’s a picture.  We went back to the hotel and dad was still in a conference but in the one before he used 50 Ipod touches so we had to recharge them. When they were done we had a little fun with them. Here’s a picture. We got lunch then dad needed us to help us set up for his next conference. I will tell you more tomorrow. :-D
