On January 29 and 30th we went to Castle Mountain to go skiing with some friends. It had rained the day before and the bottom of the mountain was a bit slippery, but at the top there was powder. We were used to skiing on ice at Sunridge, so skiing on powder took a little longer to get used to. After I got the hang of it, it was amazing! The second night it snowed two inches and continued to snow throughout the day, so there was a lot of powder. That was definitely the best time I’ve had skiing and I hope we go again next year.

"Peanut up here?"

"Why do they make me climb up here to get peanuts?"

The big guns. My favorite. :D

Yeah so, that’s what we did all summer…. Plus 3 weeks of biking.

The first week at winter park has been fun. The runs are long and some are quite smooth. Some of them are harder but they are still fun. Here are some pics.

That’s one of the biggest step up on the Mountain. I’m not sure how big it is. But It’s really fun.

Yesterday we drove 45 minutes to Angel Fire Resort to go Downhill biking. The first trail we did was a blue (I know, blame dad) It was pretty fun and had a few ladders a not that many jumps. There was only one real drop and it was only 4 feet. :( But there were quite a few jumps and most of them weren’t very good. But that’s ok. It’s our first day riding for more that a year. The black runs were pretty hard up at the top. Dad didn’t have very much fun (so he says) but they weren’t as bad a some runs at Fernie. To end the day, we found the perfect combination of runs and Caleb’s bike broke down. :(

As soon as we go to Austin, Dad bought a bike JUST like mine. It was the same except for the handlebars and pedals and of course the name on the side. I am jealous because he got his for cheaper. :’(

BUT MINE IS STILL BETTER!!!!!!!

Biking in Austin

We were driving back to our hotel when we saw a bike park right by the side of the road. Of course we had to go ride it. We went back to get our bikes and the first thing I though when I started to ride. Yuck, mud. It was so muddy. We did ride for a while but It got so anoying that we couldn’t anymore. So we went to clean it of in the river. Here is how we did it.

Last night we came home from, uh, where did we come from again? Oh yeah, Austin. Dad had a few presentations at Educause that he had to do. He brought with him…… drum roll please, 50 Ipod touches!!!!! He also brought with him a charger that can charge 20 at a time. We stayed at this really fancy hotel that for any extras like internet, water, phone calls, bathrooms. (just kidding) It was crazy. Luckily Educause paid for most of it. :D

Hint to dad. Never let us in the same room with 50 Ipod touches. Because this is what will happen.
