IDEO is a unique design firm with and even more unique approach. We can learn a lot a from IDEO and pehaps apply some of this to our learning enviroments. Consider the following gems:

  • Enlightened trial and error succeeds over the planning of the lone genus.
  • Focused chaos
  • A boss who demands that ideas are quirky and clash with his own–You have to hire people who don’t listen to you.
  • Being playful is of huge importance for being innovative. Fresh ideas come faster in a fun place.
  • Fail often in order to succeed sooner.
  • A bunch of stiffs are not likely to invent anything.
