Presentation Resources
As you work on your Professional Learning presentations and calls to action, I want to remind you that if you want to change the world, tell a good story. The post Want To Change the World – Tell a Good Story – http://www.harapnuik.org/?p=8441 will point you to a large amount of information. I did try to list what I thought was most important first, so if you only have a few minutes, start with Nancy Duarte’s Guide to Persuasive Presentations TED talk and then explore her eBook Resonate.
Please keep in mind that becoming a good digital storyteller is an ongoing process. Considering the new online world that most people are now facing, this may be one of the more important things you can do…if you want to change the world.

Connecting and Communicating Your Ideas
To help you with the Connecting and Communicating Your Ideas assignment, please refer to the following tips video – https://go.screenpal.com/watch/cTi2bYnlH1B
Key points that you need to address in your Connecting and Communicating Your Ideas post.
1. Create/Use a landing or start page that points to your Call to Action, your outline, and Professional Learning Strategy/Plan. Create a narrative to provide a context for the three sections in your Connecting and Communicating Your Ideas post (refer to the meeting recording for full details.).
2. Your audience is your colleagues, not students.
3. The NN/g Nielsen Norman Group which are one of the foremost authorities on User Experience (UX), offers a post titled Opening Links in New Browser Windows and Tabs – https://www.nngroup.com/articles/new-browser-windows-and-tabs/, which points to the original 5 key points why one should refrain from opening new browser windows and adds many more reasons this is still a wrong practice. I recommend that everyone read this full post.
4. Make sure you address the BHAG, 3X6 table format, and the verbs issues (verb document is in the meeting recording folder) I addressed in the meeting.
5. Make sure you build out the first module/phase or first part of your PL Strategy. You can create a placeholder for the remaining sections of your PL Strategy.
